Fun and easy to use I bought this kit for my robotics team to keep them engaged during the summer and to generate interest for new participants. The kit comes with a booklet full of projects. All the pieces are color coded and match the pictures in the booklet. The pieces just snap together. It’s so easy. After the kids got used to how the information was presented and how everything snaps together, they had a fun time. Use a flat surface or the project might come unsnapped. Keep in mind that there are a bunch of small pieces so watch out for babies, pets and your feet.

Where was this during my childhood!? All of the pieces snap into place really easily. The instructions are in color and are easy to decipher (i.e. just copy the picture). I remember not doing terribly well in high school with my own lessons in circuits, but these toys were a great refresher. There are 200 (200! O_O) projects to try with the instruction booklet. Waaay more pieces and projects than the CM40 and CM125, and by far my favorite of the three. This one was sounds focused and was fun to record and play back. Since this one had more pieces, the circuits made were more involved and detailed than some of the others. These are great for self guided learning–especially developing troubleshooting/critical thinking skills for when you realize your circuit doesn’t work and have to go again. Also purchased the CM 40 and CM 125.

Yup, its another GREAT Snap Circuit Kit Another great Snap Circuit Kit. My youngest got this as a gift and we got it for a b-day present for a friend of hers. My favorite experiment is #78 -Two-Finger Touch Lamp. You get to use your body as the switch for the circuit and we found that we could make the whole family the switch by holding hands in a line. The parts in this kit also are compatible with other Snap Circuit kits we have.
