Functional bike We purchased this bike about a month ago for our 3y10m-old daughter. She had been riding a 12-inch balance bike and a tricycle for about a year before we bought this bike, and had learned to keep her balance and very well, so we figured she was ready for a big girl bike. We did not put the training wheels on. I was concerned that the transition from balance bike to this bike would be made more difficult by the fact that this bike has larger wheels and is significantly heavier than her balance bike. We should not have been worried because she was off and pedaling the day after we gave her the bike.

wouldn’t recommend… This little bike was a Christmas gift for my younger daughter. The shipping was fast and this bike went together well. A couple days into her riding it the entire piece that holds the pedals on the bike itself broke apart and all theses little metal balls came rolling out. This piece came already together from the factory and all we did was attach the pedals themself. Thank goodness my husband use to repair bikes and was able to fix it for her, but we still thought that was pretty bad. It came apart as she was riding it and she had no brakes to stop, she could’ve crashed kinda hard but thankfully she was going up hill so there were no major collisions.
