Favorite Toy This set was the hands-down favorite toy opened on Christmas Day. My three year old grandson returned to this particular toy over and over throughout the day, and several days later he was still excited by the falling marbles. His dad enjoyed it too, configuring the marble runs in different ways and his interest heightened the enthusiasm of the child’s.

Far Flung says:

This belongs on the Island of Misfit Toys!!! Seriously, this toy is limited by such a simple thing – the connections between each individual piece need to be approximately ¼ inch longer to fit together and STAY together properly. Otherwise…you’re construction project will consistently fall apart, giving you hours of frustration with your youngster, instead of hours of creative enjoyment, in making any configuration work. It could argued that this design flaw could serve as a challenge to budding toddler engineers, and prompt them to find creative ways to make their project stay together. But unless you’re determined to glue things together, it will fall apart at the seams – or in this case, the connections. The makers of this toy ought to hide their heads in shame for cutting corners and making a great idea into a cheap misfit toy. In the real world, it would have never left Santa’s workshop.
